--Kodiak based crab boat the F/V Cape Reliant was nearly lost at the beginning of the crab season as an untended vent flooded their hold while they were steaming out with pots. After a harrowing ordeal from a near capsizing and with assistance from another vessel, the crew managed to get back safely.

Snow-heaped in the Alaska town of Valdez, the city is looking to hire a lot more people $20.35 per hour and you must be 18 and able to do strenuous work They also mus be fully equipped with winter gear.

It is snowing this morning here in Ketchikan. It has been back to back storms since the winter started. At this moment in time there are very few fishermen who will go out in the storms.Then National guards men, they are still digging out Cordova who had 18 feet of snow so far this winter.

Living so long in a small fishing town, they are all my friends., I am going to make him the best little camping building ever. insulated room with heat and lights. On Northern storms. We in south east Alaska kind of split storms depending of drift direction of low or high areas. If it drifts due north the center will hit Nome or further north if it drifts south then it will hit us here.

Because of the storm it will be Monday for next delivery of King Crab from Dutch Harbor. Lots of folks in exposed areas are evacuation to higher ground expecting 30 foot surge wave. My Friend Captain Phil would have laugh at this mother of a storm.

The Cornelia Marie is still in the ship yard this morning, she's sitting next to the USCG ship Sycamore that I saw while making a delivery on her of fresh King Salmon and Red Snapper to the chief Fs1 Lerry .
